we have basic cable (13 bucks a month) and this killer deal from comcast passed by me today courtsey of the consumerist:

it took me less than 5 minutes and i have free digital cable for a year, plus 6 months of hbo! whoopie!
have you ever been browsing ebay and seen an e-book for sale for 1 dollar? you are thinking that might be useful but dont want to pay a dollar for it, right? well this guy does just that, he pays for them, then posts the books up on his site. very cool, a lot of information to wade through, but a lot of gems in this collection
